My Shakesperian sonnet - The Meadow I Call My Own
The meadow I call my own The place I feel solace When my heart frowns as it is surrounded by malice The world changes every day as I await my long-lost love Where are you, I ask in every possible way Waiting as my patience fight it's cage like a dove The love I had for life left me the moment you left me my meadow Making my heart a hard, cold one of ice After my shadow stopped falling on you My eyes now see a building of soot and smoke Where it used to see you with me, a happy bloke
